An explanation: everything is depending on a domino effect. So - to begin, I'm emptying a shelf I have in the corner, so that it can be moved over a few feet to provide more room at the far end of my sewing room. This is what I'm working with.
I have to empty everything off of this shelf, and DH will empty everything off the black shelf behind it. Then, this shelf will be moved (and reconfigured), and we will figure out where to put the black shelf (maybe against the back wall where this one is now?). And then I get to put everything back on. Well, maybe not everything. I'm also trying to declutter in the process. But Rome wasn't built in a day, and it didn't take just one day to get into this state.

I find cleaning up always has some weird sort of snowball effect. One thing always leads to another!
Just keep thinking about how wonderful it'll all feel when you know exactly where everything is.
