Cutting Board Wednesday September 26

So, let's see what we have today.

I've seen so many lovely blocks made with crumbs, and I've been shown the "mile a minute" technique, so I decided to give it a try myself. I've been collecting tiny scraps for a while, and hadn't done anything with them, so I figured it was about time.

Stay tuned to see the progress.

What's on your table today?

Happy quilting!

Cutting Table September 19

Today's offering is something a little different.

This us a guitar strap I made from a tutorial found here.

One Shabby Chick has a lovely blog, and was very generous to share the instructions for making this. This particular strap was my second attempt. I had some monster fabric purchased just for this - and fortunately I had the perfect variegated thread in my stash.

I'll be making some more of these sometime soon, as I have a *lot* of musician friends. :-)

What are you working on today?

Cutting Table Wednesday

It has been a long, long time. Too long, in fact. It's time to bring this back. So - today is once again - Cutting Table Wednesday!

This is what was on my cutting table earlier today:

On the top is a lovely postcard which was sent to me by one of my nickel swappers. The project case holds my husband's Christmas quilt (still a flimsy), and a small quilt for donation to the local humane society (also a flimsy). There is SO much to do....

And *this* was on my ironing board a few weeks ago. I had thought of using it instead of a photo of my cutting table, but that would be cheating.

It's part of one (or more) small donation quilt in progress.

So - come on - show me what's on *your* cutting table today. Curious minds want to know.
